Pressing a button posts a signed request to the prototype's payment webhook. A success moves the order to Pending Verification and starts the 10-minute verification clock. A failure records the attempt and leaves the order unpaid. No money moves either way.
The link that brought you here is signed and time-limited. Opening it again after it expires, or editing the order id in the address bar, is refused by the server before anything is read or written.
